"The vitality of the Church is inextricably linked to the health of its Catholic schools..." -- Notre Dame Task Force on Education, 2008
Dear prospective students, parents and friends:
The dream of a new Catholic high school for the Upper Rio Grande Valley is One Step Closer to becoming a reality with the recent pledge of $1 million and 40 acres of historic Church property donated by Bishop Daniel E. Flores and the Diocese of Brownsville. The property in Mission is the St. Peter and St. Paul Seminary and includes buildings that can easily be converted to meet our needs.
We ask that you look deep in your hearts and pledge to this important ministry. We would like to raise enough funds to match the Bishop's generous pledge. With your support we will be able to open the school in Fall 2011.
We expect to have a talented and experienced Administrator with a strong background in Catholic secondary education on board soon to do all the necessary work entailed in opening a new school. We will provide periodic updates to keep you informed as to our progress. Future updates will detail our master plan for facilities, our curriculum and course offerings as well as introducing our initial sports and co-curricular programs.
Please keep our efforts in your prayers as we get closer to the opening of the upper Valley's first comprehensive Catholic high school.
